About Peak Dragon Books

Peak Dragon Books is run by husband and wife team Ian and Karren Barfield.

Ian established his first shop in the Manchester Corn Exchange in 1991 and has been in the trade ever since. He has been selling online since 1998 and was one of the first 100 sellers on Amazon Marketplace.

He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this new venture which is the culmination of a long-held ambition to open a second hand bookshop in Derbyshire.

Karren was born in Darley Dale, lived on Dale Road and in Cromford as a child. She very much sees Matlock as her home. Her family originated in Matlock Bath and Santon-in-Peak.
